The Senior Prefects' Badging Ceremony of Visakha Vidyalaya was held on the 28th of September 2018 at the Jeramias Dias Main Hall, with the presence of Principal Madam Sandamali Aviruppola as the Chief Guest and Ms. Sheshadri kottearachchi as the Guest of Honour.

The Pahan Ceremony 2018 of Visakha Vidyalaya elected 54 Senior Prefects for 2018/2019 along with top positions in the Prefects Guild. The outgoing Head Prefect Ovini Gunasinghe handed over the duties and responsibilities to the newly nominated Head Prefect of 2018/2019 Janisha Katuwapitiya.
Lavanga Kaluarachchi succeeded in becoming the Senior Deputy Head Prefect of Visakha Vidyalaya. Maheli Ranawana was appointed as Deputy Head Prefect of Science Section while Savini Gunawardena was to be Deputy Head Prefect of Commerce and Arts Section. The position of Games Captain for 2018/2019 was offered to Shehara Madawala.
Many were gifted the privilege to wear the gold shiny badge pinned on top of the house badge at the Pahan Ceremony of 2018, and a promising new student leadership was assured.
