Visakha Vidyalaya badged the candidates of the Student Parliament on 16th of August 2024 from 9.00 am onwards at the Jeramias Dias Main Hall. The badging ceremony was graced by the Deputy Secretary General of Parliament Mr.Chaminda Kularathne as the Chief Guest For one of the most awaited events in school calendar.
Visakha Vidyalaya badged the candidates of the Student Parliament on 16th of August 2024 from 9.00 am onwards at the Jeramias Dias Main Hall. The newly elected members of the parliament were awarded with their badges by the Madam Principal Manomi Senevirathne .150 students from grade 6 to grade 13 were elected to the student parliament of Visakha Vidyalaya by the results of the election held on 07th of August 2024 at Visakha Vidyalaya. Speaker , Prime Minister, Leader of the House, Chairperson, Deputy Speaker , Deputy Chairperson, 10 ministers, 10 deputy ministers were selected successfully by a general election, which was conducted with the guidance of Madam Principal, Deputy Principals and assistant principals.
The time has come to establish peace and harmony within all races and ethnicities. It’s the time to stop the longing for power and create a governing policy for the people. Taking the issues hazarding the island and world today. The newly elected parliamentary candidates of Visakha Vidyalaya hope to aboard its missile of amity in making Sri Lanka a better place for the next generation.
