Drugs kill one's joy, body and finally their soul. As a step towards preventing drugs within the younger generation of the country, the drug prevention society of Visakha Vidyalaya presented FEVERO '18 which was held on the 28th of March 2018 at the Jeramias Dias Hall from 2PM to 6PM
Drugs kill one's joy, body and finally their soul. As a step towards preventing drugs within the younger generation of the country, the drug prevention society of Visakha Vidyalaya presented FEVERO '18 which was held on the 28th of March 2018 at the Jeramias Dias Hall from 2PM to 6PM
The number of drug addicts are increasing rapidly day by day in the present society. Fevero'18 was organized with the sole motive of spreading awareness within the youth on the detrimental effects of drugs and the dreadful calamities cause by drug addiction. Visakha Vidyalaya as a Buddhist girls' school, took an influential step through the FEVERO'18 workshop to spread awareness within youth and avert the adversities that could take place due to drug addiction. Senior Lecturer in Health Promotion at the University of Rajarata in Sri Lanka, Dr.Manoj Fernando conducted an interesting lecture making students aware about the nature and the defects of drugs.
This event was glamoured by a large number of fellow students from numerous renowned schools in Colombo. The workshop was lined with a number of competitions such as poster creation competition and drama competition, in which the students engaged and applied their creativity for a better cause. Mahanama College excelled extremely well in both competitions and succeeded in winning the champion trophies of both competitions.
The one day workshop Fevero'18 concluded successfully by conveying the important message that no joy is gained by drug.
