The top notch musical extravaganza “Fuze’19 “ presented by the Past Pupils’ Association of Vidura College was held on the 15th of September 2019 at the BMICH.
A-listed and upcoming musicians in the arena of music tuned their instruments and vocals to give the best entertainment experience yet witnessed. It was an eclectic celebration of a twenty year glory of a legacy unfolded under the flag of silver and blue. Bathiya and Santhush , La Signore, Daddy , We Plus with Piyath Rajapakse and Illuminate graced the Fuze stage to give the house full of spectators an amazing time.
The show commenced with a fresh touch of music with the winners of Tantalize 2018 ‘Illuminate’ bringing some favourite melodies live on stage. The upcoming band sure knew the taste of the crowd and performed splendidly. Vidura College’s very own Sirasa Super Star Piyath Rajapakse along with his band We Plus graced the stage next and performed some of his very own originals such as Priyawee and We Plus band’s first single Nirayase. Piyath also performed his latest hit single “Kodre” for the first time live on stage and the crowd took him by surprise by singing along perfectly.
La Signore and Bathiya and Santhush was back on the Fuze stage once again and they sure augmented the hype in the atmosphere. La Signore performed almost all his big hits with his iconic dance moves to which the audience gladly joined in. Bathiya and Santhush came on stage amidst a loud cheer because who is not excited to witness the sensational duo live? They performed their old 2000s songs as well as new songs such as Roo Sara and Ai Kale Adare from their brand new album Oba Nisa. When it comes to BnS, it doesn’t matter if the songs are new or old, we all will scream our lungs out along with them and at Fuze’19 it was no different.
Lastly, Daddy took the stage and the energy they created within the BMICH was surreal. From SMS, Massina to Chandrayan Pidu & Aaley, Daddy band never failed to rock the floor and made us sing along to very single lyric. Daddy undoubtedly proved that the new addition to the Fuze’19 line up made the musical extravaganza beyond breathtaking.
What is a show without a little Sri Lankan baila to dance for. For the final performance Daddy band was joined by La Signore and Piyath Rajapakse and the crowd went wild. Fuze’19 concluded as a massive success and as the biggest Fuze edition, leaving the spectators anticipating yet another Fuze in the years to come.
