The school by the sea proved their dexterity in rowing by winning the 45th annual Royal Thomian Boat Race and also by Ensuring The 41st Annual Royal Thomian Regetta was retained by the Thomians. The event was held on 25th of October 2014 from 1.30pm onwards at the Rowing Club, Colombo.
Begun in 1962, The Royal Thomian Boat Race sowed the seeds for what would later evolve into The Royal Thomian Regatta in 1966. Ever since, fleets of both Royal College and S. Thomas’ College have taken to the Beira Lake to either sink, or be sunk in a clash of spirit and grit.
