Bhakthi Gee Program 2016 by Musaeus Nursery Students

Held on the 24th of June at the Peter De Abrew Auditorium, Colombo 7, from 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm, Bhakthi Gee 2016 saw on stage a number of children from both the lower and upper nurseries, all adorned in vibrant attire and beautiful flowers in hand, as they devotedly performed each item.
Fostering strong spiritual values at a young age becomes paramount at any learning institution, regardless of its primary religion or curriculum. In this light, the headmistress and staff of the Musaeus College Nursery School have adopted this very notion in organizing “Bhakthi Gee 2016”, an annual school event that not only highlights the talents of its students but also inculcates reverence towards their beliefs.
Held on the 24th of June at the Peter De Abrew Auditorium, Colombo 7, from 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm, Bhakthi Gee 2016 saw on stage a number of children from both the lower and upper nurseries, all adorned in vibrant attire and beautiful flowers in hand, as they devotedly performed each item.
This event was graced by many dignitaries of notable repute. At the forefront was Mr Lakshman Wijesekara, a prominent figure in the Sinhalese music industry. In addition to delivering an inspiring speech, Mr Wijesekara also took the opportunity to perform a few of his well-known melodies to the audience. Also in attendance was Ven. Veeraduwe Mahinda Thero along with the principal and deputy principals of Musaeus College, Colombo 7.
All attendees left the auditorium praising the committed efforts of the headmistress and staff on yet another successful year of the red letter occasion.
