The 15th Edition of the Ladies’ – Musaeus Regatta 2018 took place on two days this year going against tradition due to the rainy weather condition on the 6th and 7th of October 2018. However, no storm or gloomy sky was strong enough to keep Musaeus College from acquiring a decisive victory for the third consecutive time with a 48-4 win.

The road to their fifth Ladies’ – Musaeus Regatta win was initially laid out by Senuri De Silva in the ‘B’ Scull race and the team followed up, with Maedhini Alwis and Binali Alwis winning the ‘A’ Pair race and Hashini Hettigoda topping in the ‘A’ Scull race. Maedhini De Alwis and Senuri De Silva brought home another win by their victory in ‘A’ Double Scull race. Ladies’ College fought the waters to back up their game and Ayani Perera and Gabrielle Senanayake were fortunate to come out first in the ‘B’ Pair race.

The second day started off with Ladies’ College at a crucial point in the Regatta for they still had a chance to turn the waves around. However, Musaeus College mastering the oars with full might, made sure that the waters switched no side, by triumphing the Old Girls Fours race, ‘B’ Four race, ‘B’ Double scull and finally the ‘A’ four race.
