To rebuild the domestic education which was under the domination of Missionaries, Ananda College embarked its journey under the guidence of Late Colonel Henry Steel Olcott on the 1st of November 1886 at Maliban Street, Colombo with just 37 students, which is inherited to a glorious history of 126 years. Since its inception mother Ananda has guided her students to go forward in every national requirement even ignoring self life. By continuing its legacy Ananda College Commerce Society has immensly contributed in improving the Commerce knowledge of Sri Lankan students. We are humbly proud of that ACCS was able to raise its helping hand for the talented young generation who have been trying to blossom, and to create an opportunity to present their abilities and get them appreciated as well.

We being the Commerce Society of Ananda College have made the impossible to a reality and overcame the obstacles triumphantly. Throughout its glorious journey, the Commerce Society of Ananda College has been presenting very uncommon and eye - catching experiences via these big events.

To continue its legacy to greater heights, The Commerce society of Ananda College has organized "PRIMERO AWARDS" the annual Commerce Day for the 10th consecutive year with the participation of highly honored guests. Also 60 schools will be participated in this grand event.

Introducing an uncommon appearance to the Sri Lankan school Commerce Day arena, “PRIMERO" the annual Commerce day organized by the Ananda College Commerce society will be held on the 4th of October 2013 from 9.30a.m onwards at the Kularatne Hall.
