We, the students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, would like to cordially invite you to Sisi Arundathee 2013, the annual cultural extravaganza which will be held on Thursday the 10th of October 2013 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium from 6.00 p.m. onwards.

Striking a balance between the demanding academic curricula and extracurricular activities has been the key to the success of the Students’ Council over the years. The council has also replaced the culture of ragging by a blend of social and cultural events which has paved the way blossom the hidden talents of the students within the faculty, with the crowning jewel of these events being Sisi Arundathee.

With its humble beginnings in the Bandaranayake hall of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, this event has come a long way, lighting many a stage, the last being Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre. The main objective of organizing such an event is to deviate from the monotony of day to day university life and to bring out the artistic talent hidden in every young scientist. 

As students who are benefiting free education, we desire to contribute towards the betterment and well being of the society. Therefore for the first time in the history of Sisi Arundathee, the funds raised will be used for a series of community development projects, targeting schools, environmental issues, hospitals, war heroes, differently abled people, alleys, university, etc.
