Gateway Graduate School held it's 4th Convocation at Hotel Galadari, Grand Ballroom on 30th March 2017. 110 graduates and diplomates in the fields of Business, Computing and Teacher Training received their awards at this prestigious and formal ceremony.
Gateway Graduate School held it’s 4th Convocation at Hotel Galadari, Grand Ballroom on 30th March 2017. 110 graduates and diplomates in the fields of Business, Computing and Teacher Training received their awards at this prestigious and formal ceremony.
Students were presented with B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Business Computing & Information Systems from University of Central Lancashire UK, BA (Hons) Degree in Business Administration from University of Worcester and Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas from NCC Education UK, and Pearson Edexcel UK. The most prestigious award of the ceremony, the R.I.T. Alles Memorial Award for the Highest Achieving Student was awarded to Benjamin Zigwai Ali for achieving a first class honors degree, with the highest average score, in Bachelor of Science (Hon.) in Business Computing & Information Systems from University of Central Lancashire, UK.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Ganakumaran Subramaniam – Head of School and Professor at the School of Education, University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus and Mr. Allan Norton - General Manager, NCC Education UK.
Gateway Graduate School in partnership with international organizations such as NCC Education UK and Pearson Edexcel UK, offers a choice of two career pathways to complete Degrees in Business, Computing and Teacher Training in Sri Lanka. On successful completion of the first and the second years students are able to receive industry recognized qualifications – Level 4 Diplomas and Level 5 Advanced Diplomas. Thereafter, students have the option of completing the full programme in Sri Lanka or transferring to overseas universities in UK, Malaysia, New Zealand or Australia.
An International Foundation Programme is also available for students who wish to join after Sri Lankan or London G.C.E. O/L. The Engineering Foundation Programme has been accepted by Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (USA and Singapore) for admission to their undergraduate programmes.
The degrees that can be completed in Sri Lanka include Master of Arts in Education from the University of Nottingham, BA (Hons) Degree in Business Administration from University of Worcester and B.Sc (Hons) in Business Computing & Information Systems from University of Central Lancashire. Gateway’s affiliation with the University of Nottingham (Malaysia Campus), Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, USA, University of Central Lancashire, UK University of Worcester, UK as well as University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and many other high ranked Universities of international repute would widen the scope for students to complete their Foundation year and/or the Diplomas in Sri Lanka and transfer to complete their Degrees in overseas.
