On 31st January 2015, gracefully embarking her passion for dancing, Aruni Erandika Senanayake Mudalige, an old girl of Musaeus College and a disciple of Mrs.Rangana Ariyadasa Udayakumara, performed her Arangetram at the Kularatne Hall of Ananda College with a total of 800 guests most beautifully and successfully.
Arangetram is the debut on-stage performance of a classical art student, after undertaking years of training. It is a public graduation performance for any art form. The word arangetram is from the Tamil Language and means ascending the stage by a dancer on the completion of her training.
Aruni Erandika, daughter of Dr. Ravindra Senanayake Mudalige and Emeritus Professor Vijitha Mallika Senanayake, initiated arrangements in the year of 2000 to undergo a study course in Bharatha Natyam under the tutelage of Proficient Dancing Instructress Mrs. Padmini Dahanayake. Subsequently she joined the Dance Academy of Prominent Dancer under Mrs. Rangana Ariyadasa Udayakumara.
Aruni also underwent a study course in Classical Kathak dancing under the expertise dancer,Mrs. Umesha Samarasuriya. She even learnt Kandyan Dancing under Mrs. Samangi Bodhiyabadu.
