15th Annual Convention of Bridge Club Sri Lanka was held on 12th of October, 2013 from 9.00am onwards.
Bridge Club Sri Lanka (BCSL) is the affiliated organization of Asian Pacific Children's Convention (APCC) and Bridge Club International Organization (BCIO) in Fukuoka, Japan. Main objective of the APCC is to foster "Global Citizens", who are able to think of the world beyond national boundaries and desire world "Peace and Co-existence".
The APCC celebrated 25th anniversary this year with novel initiatives to make the APCC and BCIO as leading organizations in the Asia-Pacific region. In order to achieve this objective, the APCC and the BCIO strengthen the Bridge Club network.
Students who excel in Grade 5 scholarship examination in Sri Lanka get the opportunity to participate at APCC annually since 1989. All APCC participants become members of the BCSL, and BCSL is the first Bridge Club established outside Japan in 1998. In order to achieve overall goals and objectives, BCSL carries out projects aligned with the themes 'peace and co-existence' and 'global citizens'.
