The Journey So Far . . .
“Tantalize” was initially held in the year 2008 where its focus was to bring out the aesthetic talents of students at the university level. The founders of tantalize, have created a foundation in the year 2008 with a great show which is why, this year it is marked to be the fourth consecutive year of Tantalize. Today it has grown to be renown to most of the youth where Tantalize is set to be a significant happening in the event APIIT event calendar.
The objective of Tantalize is to provide exposure to the musically talented to all university students in Sri Lanka, which bring the students of both public and private universities to showcase their talents. This event is named to be the only inter-university talent show in Sri Lanka which creates a platform to most musicians, singers and dancers to their carriers in the arts. All proceeds of the event will be donated to a charity each year, where this year the charity is set to be for the donation of the “Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies to the Bureau of the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation”.
The range and the number of participants, The judges that are going to be present?
With the years passing, the number of applications gave been increasing and this year we are proud to say that the overall number of applicants have exceeded a hundred. The categories in focus were, singing, (solo and duet), dancing (solo and group), instrumental (solo and group) and bands. From the above categories, 5 participants of singing solo and instrumental solo and 3 participants of the remaining categories are entitled to battle for the big prize at the finale. These finalists come from different universities (private and public) which help the organizers achieve their objective as to bringing all the universities together. A winner will be chosen from each category, of which will be entitled to win amazing prizes to be taken home that night.
How is the procedure going to be? Any changes from the previous events?
Tantalize 2011 will be different from the previous years as to many reasons, beginning with the increased number of participants the competition this year very tight this year in every category. With amazing guest performers such as Khazim Miskin, the winner of the instrumental solo category of Tantalize 2010, Ramod and Crew , CryWolf and also a surprise guest will be performing who is a widely known artist will be present to keep the audience well entertained! This year the theme Uncensored Unlimited Unseen aspires to bring the event to a whole new level from where the atmosphere, to the tense of the competition will be a whole new experience keeping the audience on their feet the entire night. The organizing committee of Tantalize 2011 promises the audience a show beyond expectations as the committee is working hard to make it a success for the competitors, the audience, the youth and the future.

A word about the grand finale?
Tantalize 2011 is to be held on the 07th of October, 2011 at the Bishops College Auditorium at 6. 00 p. m Tickets will be prized at Rs. 500 which will be sold at APIIT, YAMAHA MUSIC CENTER and also at the gates of Bishops College on the 7th of October.
