Seserêve '20 - Language Day of SBV, Colombo

To promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism, The Japanese Literary Association collaborated with the French Literary Association of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo 07 and organised the Inaugural Language Day "Seserêve '20" on the 24th of January 2020 at the School Premises. They took this evening to appreciate the efforts of all students who participated in the Language Competitions organised by the two societies and to display the talents of them with multicultural performances.

Languages, with their complex implications for identity, communication, social integration, education and development, are of strategic importance for people and planet. Yet, due to globalization processes, they are increasingly under threat, or disappearing altogether. When languages fade, so does the world's rich tapestry of cultural diversity.
