Splendour '18, The Brass Band Show of Sri Sumangala Girls' School, Panadura was held on the 14th of January 2018 at Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre from 3.00PM onwards.
Splendour '18, The Brass Band Show of Sri Sumangala Girls' School, Panadura was held on the 14th of January 2018 at Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre from 3.00PM onwards.
The evening was graced by the honorable presences of the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy Hon. Ajith P. Perera as the Chief Guest and the Secretary of the Ministry of Education Mr. Sunil Hettiarachchi as the Special Guest of the Brass Band Show Splendour 2018.
The splendid musical evening was organized by the Senior Western Brass Band, Parents, & the Teachers in collaboration with the Past Students' Association of Sri Sumangala Girls' School, Panadura.
The Founder of the Western Band of Sri Sumangala Girls' School, Panadura, Mrs. Olivia Gamage was invited as the Guest of Honour to witness the glory of the band she initiated and the development the young band members have earned throughout the years.
Schools such as Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo, St. Pauls' Girls' School, Milagiriya, Sri Sumangala College, Panadura, Kalutara Vidyalaya, Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya and Holy Cross College, Kalutara were present as the invited schools to spectate the skillful performances of the Brass Band which pleased the hearts of the audience with musical delight. The Brass Band of Sri Sumangala Girls' School - Panadura presented a rich performance which manifested the latent talents of the young individuals.
