M.D. Gunasena Launches Loyalty Member Programme

The loyalty member initiative to further strengthen Customer Relationship Management
M. D. Gunasena the leading publisher, printer and bookseller, launched a Loyalty Member initiative a first in the industry, at a ceremony held at the Colombo 05, Vajira Road Book Shop. The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of Mr. Percy Gunasena – Chairman, Mr. Ananda Gunasena – Managing Director and Mr. Rajiv Gunasena - Deputy Managing Director - M. D. Gunasena and Mrs. Sandamali Aviruppola Principal and Mrs. Sujatha Devendra – Vice Principal of Visakha Vidyala Colombo and other special invitees.
The maiden Loyalty Card was handed over by Mr. Rajiv Gunasena - Deputy Managing Director - M. D. Gunasena to Mrs. Sandamali Aviruppola Principal - Visakha Vidyala Colombo and Mrs. Chayani Deen. Through the innovative introduction, consumer can now walk into any of the M. D. Gunasena retail outlets and become a loyalty member and enjoy customized membership privileges including, redemption off purchases, seasonal members-only promotions, exclusive invites to company events, latest news and updates about new products and services and so much more.
Mr. Rajiv Gunasena, Deputy Managing Director - M. D. Gunasena reiterated, “The introduction of the Loyalty Member programme will further enhance the company’s service offering, providing consumer insight to purchase preferences and history thereby in return helping us to tailor-made our offerings to our valued customer”.
He further added, “Our consumers can now earn as you shop, collect and redeem your points on your favourite books, stationery, toys and music sold in all the outlets. The Loyalty Membership opens gateway to an ultimate shopping experience, this allows us to appreciate and offer incentives every time you shop”.
